The CNG variant returns a mileage of 31.59 km / kg. The Alto 800 came with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. This engine was known for its excellent performance and tremendous fuel efficiency at a low cost.

The Alto 800 was a simple yet practical design. In its facelift versions 2016 and 2019, the company gave a modern touch to the front grille, bumpers, headlamps and taillights. The ex-showroom price of the Alto 800 was between ₹3.54 lakh and ₹5.13 lakh before the discontinuation. It was available in STD, LXi, VXi and VXi + variants. The CNG option was available in the LXi (O) variant. The on-road price of the Alto 800 used to start from ₹4 lakh and go up to ₹6 lakh in cities.
